Michael McIlwraith (Bachelor of Training & Development, Associate Diploma in Applied Science)

Michael has had over thirty years experience as a builder. Starting out as a carpenter, Michael's career evolved to became a site supervisor, general foreman, clerk of works and eventually a project manager. Michael is a licensed builder.

Michael also spent 15 years as a part time teacher of building for NSW TAFE. He has developed all our courses and constructed the Certificate IV and Diploma in Building to be completed entirely in distance mode and online

Michael's qualifications

  • Certificate in Business Management (NSW TAFE)
  • Certificate IV in Residential Building (NSW TAFE)
  • Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Building) (Sydney Institute of Technology)

Luke Orlovich MAIB (Bachelor of Construction Management)

Luke originally qualified as a carpenter then, after obtaining his builders license, gained extensive experience in construction project manager over his career. He manages large construction projects over $15 Mil and is involved in various committees facilitating Australian construction standards. Luke has also worked as a teacher of building at diploma level for NSW TAFE.

Luke has played 1st grade cricket for St George-Canterbury-Bankstown.

  • Bachelor degree in Construction Management (University of Newcastle)

Nimish Patel (Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Diploma Civil Engineering, Diploma of Building & Construction)

Nimish has extensive experience in construction. Starting as a civil engineer and later became a successful project manager in Australia where his current position is the general manger of a large building company in Sydney. Nimish has extensive experience in sub contractor management, estimating, construction management and project managing mainly on low to high rise projects. Nimish holds a current builders license and is a member of the Master Builders Association.

Alan Richardson (Associate Diploma of Applied Science)

Alan's work career began undertaking and completing a trade apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery. This has been immensely helpful in maintaining a practical approach to problem solving.

For 11 years he has performed principal contractor and project management roles in commercial and residential projects, and for the past 3 years managed the delivery of commercial water recycling contracts in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Queensland.
