Who should do this Course?

Contractors and supervisors who are responsible for managing projects on time and budget. The course explains the basic principles of project management and outlines how to prepare a project plan to ensure timeframes are met and also provides a step-by-step guide to prepare a building project plan that can be submitted to a client and or project manager

What are the Course Objectives?

At the completion of this course you will be able to:

  • understand the basic principles of project management and risk analysis;
  • prepare a network diagram for a project and evaluate critical activities;
  • produce a bar chart from the network diagram that graphically represents the sequence of events and activities;
  • evaluate the project plan to determine timings of trades, material delivery and ordering, project completion date and timings of progress payments;
  • construct a post construction evaluation of the project plan to determine accuracy so as to evolve best practice project management skills.

Module 3: Step by step guide to preparing a project plan
Module 4: Post project analysis using the bar chart
