The course explains the basic principles of project management and outlines how to prepare a project plan to ensure timeframes are met and also provides a step-by-step guide to prepare a building project plan that can be submitted to a client and or project manager
What are the Course Objectives?
At the completion of this course you will be able to:
- understand the basic principles of project management and risk analysis;
- prepare a network diagram for a project and evaluate critical activities;
- produce a bar chart from the network diagram that graphically represents the sequence of events and activities;
- evaluate the project plan to determine timings of trades, material delivery and ordering, project completion date and timings of progress payments;
- construct a post construction evaluation of the project plan to determine accuracy so as to evolve best practice project management skills.
